Trying to find foulds

jeanne sherry Hi my name is Jeanne, maiden name Foulds, and I am trying to trace my family. My father, Samuel Daniel Foulds, was born and died in Cape Town South Africa but his father, Samuel, was born +-1868 in Halifax Yorkshire, as was his father William (do not know the year). Grandfather Samuel married Maria but I do not have any info on her - in fact I do not even know whether she was from Uk or a South African as grandfather did come to South Africa and in fact died here. My father had 7 siblings namely Frank,William,RoseAnne, Walter,Isabella, May and Edward. Please if anyone could help me to build my family tree and also for me to make contact with family I would really appreciate it. Thanks, Jeanne

Hi Jeanne,

My name is Gabi Foulds and I am also trying to trace my family tree which is incidentally your family tree also. My grandfather Graham Foulds was your half brother therefore making your father my great grandfather. I was born in Capetown as was my father (Gary - you might have met him) and moved shortly I was born in 1988. We moved to australia and then canada. I have be researching our family on ancestry 24 and am feeling like I need to go to ancestry uk. I know that there are no south african immigration papers from Samuel or Maria but I do know Maria's last name was Van Reenen if that helps at all! Let me know if you get this message as I see you posted quite a while ago!
