Although I was born in Mansfield in Nottinghamshire, Jennifer Glidewell, and my father Cecil Glidewell born in Mansfield Woodhouse, my grandfather Samuel Francis Glidewell and back to my ggg/grandfather Christopher, and possibly my gggg/grandfather John Glidewell, were all born in Stagsden in Befordshire. My Dad's three older brothers all died young, so I had no uncles from his side, and his only sister, although she married, she had no children so there were no cousins from her. My Granddad Samuel Glidewell had brothers John, Walter, Charles and George and sisters Lucy, Edith and Hannah. If there are any descendants of those sisters and brothers, my great-Aunties and Great-Uncles, I would love to hear from them. |
