Trying to find Grant

Am trying to find a Martha Buarn or Buam who married an Alexander Grant in the early to mid 1800s. Alexander was in The Royal Enginers. They had a son, Henry John Grant, (my grandfather) born 15/11/1853 in Lymington, Hampshire. When last in the UK I searched every BM&D recird in the Family Records Office but could not find one with the name Buarn or Buam. My Great Grandfather, Alexander, could have been serving with the army somewhere overseas when he married. Any help would be appreciated. Regards Edward Grant
