LONG LOST RELATIONS OF MY OTHER HALF IN 'ISLE OF T

ProfilePosted byOptionsPost Date

Anne

Anne Report 4 Jul 2010 09:16

Father in law and twin brother were brought up in Doctor Barnados, so all we know is that they originated from Kent, near Ramsgate. All we have been able to find is their own birth certificates, but were led to believe they had a whole host of older brothers and sisters, all of which seem to have disappeared from the planet! Apologies to anybody who thinks I am duplicating myself (too much multi tasking and too many actually blood relatives myself). Would appreicate anybody's help to locate his side of the family as mine is relatively easy..... Oh apart from my Uncle Eck (he also is a mystery) but I digress please can anybody help in locating at least one of my other half's family as he is feeling neglected. Full name of father in law was Reginald Nettleton Guertin, born July 1919 (his and twin brother are easy to find, it is trying to find anybody else that is not....)
Kind Regards, Anne

Anne, have had a look. I can't see any other births with MMN Guertin around 1919 when they were born. There is one which might be a relative I imagine:

Births Sep 1917 (>99%)
Guertin Irene E B Wall Thanet 2a 1547

A lot of Guertins ended up in Massachusetts before and around that time of Reginald's birth that came from Worcester ???.

Who is the mother on the birth certificate ?

What is the address on the birth certificate ?

Anne

Anne Report 4 Jul 2010 10:41

Yes I found Irene but no other information. As regards the Worcester connection we know nothing... Entry on birth certificate No 410 Register Book 105 witnessed 23rd August Sub-district Ramsgate. Maiden name of mother is Guertin which is interesting? What does anybody know of Worcester connection? Anne

There is an Arthur Guertin marrying in 1916 in Thanet, which might be connected.

The only Guertins coming up at all on Ancestery are in the incoming passenger lists . Perhaps somebody who has full access could look them up?

Anne

Anne Report 4 Jul 2010 11:37

Yes I have found a nice man in Quebec who has loads of Guertins in his tree.... French and Canadian, but can not find any of ours.... on well just keep looking.

Next item....... maybe somebody knows of my Uncle. His name was Alexander McInulty, born in Blackridge, West Lothian in 1908, married twice, had about 9 children.... I remember he died late 1960s/early 1970s.
second wife was Rosina somebody.... Regards Anne

It would be best to buy the FULL birth certificate giving the birth mother's first name/s

Their mum may be on this list
