Hi, my name is Michael Francis John Guinane, I'm trying to find out any info about my father, John Anthony Guinane. He was born in Newmarket-on Fergus, Co. Clare, in June 1906. I do not know when he came to England, but, he married my mother, Loiusa Mary Ann Grace Bennett, in Bow, London, England, in Oct 1959. They both lived in Bow, London, England, until their deaths...John in Mar 1978, and Louisa in Nov 1984. Any info, however small, would be very much appreciated, as I've come to a complete standstill on my father's side. Thanks and I hope to hear from someone soon.

Hi Mick
your father was born in Newmarket on Fergus , and I believe I have seen you link to my Guinanes in Accrington Lancashire. I have lost my John Guinane between 1901 and 1911. In the 1901 census he is liveing with his parents Bridget ,Patrick and his brothers and sisters in Accrington . On the 1911 UK census it show one of Bridget children as having died I have found Dan and his sisters still living, so I am assuming it was John that died before the 1911 UK census.
If you have linked your John Guinane to this family am I correct in believeing that this john was your grandfather ? how have you made this connection Mick? Please would you let me know if you dont mind. I would apprieciate any information as you are probable aware information on the Guinaes is hard to come by.
I have found the birth place of John and his twin brother Dan I have also found other guinanes that were also born in the same village but have no idea if they were related.
Regards
Pete Flynn

Highly unlikely that Mick will be looking for any reply after all this time. If you click on his name and send him a PM, he will receive it providing he still has the same email address that he signed up to genes with

I would doubt that very much Peter they were just advising that you had posted on an old thread

If you look it says that Mick has made no posts then I would have thought at least one...but who am I to argue lol

So it is unlikely he is still an active member
