I am trying to find descendants of Sydney Thomas J Hamilton born in Alverstoke in 1874. His father was called John, born 1843 and his mother was sarah(nee Cook)born 1854.They married in 1872 His father later married a Caroline Lightfoot in 1884. His grandfather was Richard. Sydney married Bessie or Elizabeth or Eliza Bound in Plymouth in 1894. They had at least three children, Sydney Hamilton in 1895, Stanley Hamilton in 1896 and Florence Lily in 1897. I think that Florence married Ralph Hopkins in 1920 whose father was a miller in the southampton area - at Garley Mill. I'm hoping that any of Florence and Ralph's children may still be alive or indeed grandchildren. My mother would dearly like to know who her dad was and as she's now 84, I would like to get a lead as soon as possible. Can anyone help please? |
