I am Linda Hammatt. My Father was Albert Edward Hammatt. He had one brother Cyril Hammatt. They were brought up at 7 Charlton Road Edmonton N9 by their father who was also called Albert Edward although he was also known as Bob. Their mother died quite young and Albert Edward Senior remarried in the early 50's. He left Edmonton and moved in with his new wife's mother in West Road in Tottenham. My own father married Winifred Ivy Sewell of Graham Road in 1948 and they continued to live in Charlton Road until after I was born in 1950. We then moved to South Road in Edmonton and my sister Jennifer was born in 1955. We emigrated to Canada in 1957 and returned to the UK in 1960, after which we lived in Edmonton, off Town Road. My mother passed away in 1992 and my dad in 1994. I know there are more Hammatts about and would be pleased to hear from you if you know anything of my family. LINDA WRIGHT |
