Does anyone have any information regarding LESLIE CLAXTON HANCOCK born,1915 ish, and lived in his early years round Belper and Nether Heage area. I do know that he attended Belper Strutts Grammar School. Had his left arm severed at the elbow while only a youth.Went to Teacher Training College in Sheffield where he eventually held various Headmaster roles. Was adopted and may have been called Leslie Claxton at birth and for the early years. |
