David Hanks (01242 228828) is extending the family tree of all known descendants of the Hanks families who come from the village of NAUNTON in Gloucestershire (5 miles west of Stow-on-the-Wold & 12 miles east of Cheltenham). They are traceable there since c1600. I have exstensive details already but need more information, particularly of people from the present (or our own) generation, and where they have all dispersed to. I now have reason to believe that after the Civil War several Hanks moved up from Malmesbury in Wilts to Naunton in Glos (& probably elsewhere)and would be interested in talking to anyone else who believes their 17th century ancestors may be linked to this dispersal from Wiltshire or arrival in Gloucestershire.
