I am trying to trace a half sister I never met. Lilian?, born to Dorothy Lilian nee Wells, and Herbert John Hewitt (my father-who was born 24th February 1904/5 and died 1988)-possibly born in Folkstone area where parents married .He was also known as Buddy Hewitt and traded as a Turf Accountant for many years in Norwich post war under that name-Lilian would now be in her 70s. Her parents marrying young and the relationship breaking down. I would love to hear of Lilians whereabouts or any family. Would also love to find out any additional information about my father as I never met any of his family ie parents or knew anything about them or his background.I believe mother re married, after his father 9also Herbert John) died about 1939 in action, to a Flowerday and had a son Ray. I believe he also had a brother Hubert who was killed in action, possibly the first world war. I believe my father was born in Norfolk (possibly Southrepps area- but can not be sure of his birth place) - he was an enigma and this may well be wrong as there is no record of him! Can anyone help? |
