I am trying to find information about the Heywood family who lived in the Openshaw / Gorton / Stockport area of Manchester.John Heywood (dyer) was the father of John Heywood b.1844 (iron forgeman) who married Sarah Goulden b.1845 on Jan 1, 1865.Children's known names are:- John Thomas b.1867, Emily b.1871, Sarah b.1873, Harry b.1875, Eliza b.1877 (my grandmother),William b.1879, Fred b.1881.Also possibly Annie. John Thomas lived in Lancaster during 1940's, Annie in Edgeley, Eliza married Arthur Horne and ran shop in Hillgate area of Stockport c.1920/30's |
