Member Since: January 2005 Posts: 1 Send Message	tryin to find my great grandad samuel hooper, i think he was born around 1860/70 in deptford london. in 1901 he had a son called samuel henry hooper with a lady called lydia hooper nee benfield. however records show that they were not actually married and that she was infact a widow and benfield was her surname when married to her late husband. she also had another son called james benfield who would have been my grandads half brother who i think he called jim. if any one could help to clarify this i would be most grateful.
