really need your help on this one guys...i have searched on all lhe relavant sites and cannot find any trace of my great grandmother ruby huxtable....all the info i have on her is
ruby constance huxtable b.1887 d.roughly around 1975 in walthamstow east london
married to edward martin and had a daughter joan constance martin 23/1/1922 in west ham .. ive searched and searched for her but to no avail
there was a rumour she was born in spain but i dont know if this is true ...any help would be very very greatefully recieved

Have you bought her marriage certificate for her fathers name and occupation? If he were a soldier, it may well be she was born abroad. It may also be that her name wasnt Ruby when she was registered and she added that. I have a rellie who was born Ellen Elinor. She goes through her life as Beatrice or Jenny.

Get the certificate.

ty christina for the information .. i was always led to beleive that her name was spelt ruby but maybe it was splet ie or would there b a possiblity that sumtimes they are misspelt on documents?
