have found william and elizabeth through address search on ancestry [,only 2 hours!!] in 1851 ,they are gone from there in 1861.
i would like to find him with his parents in 1861 or 71 just to be certain i have the correct info for the tree
1851 census
william jarvis 1811 builder hornchurch essex

albert age 8
john age 6
thomas age 4
emma age mnths
address 24 harts lane st matthew bethnal green tower hamlets.

some enumeration districts are missing from bethnal green so does this mean they were illegible etc? or lost?

Vivienne

To find the image for the family on Ancestry you need to search for Caroline Davis Middlesex. born 1870 parents William & Hannet.
The Jarvis family are right at the top of the page.

This is the ref for Sarah Jane Platt in 1871

Source Citation: Class: RG10; Piece: 489; Folio: 13; Page: 19; GSU roll: 823374

. As Edwin is not with his family maybe he could be somewhere close to her. I have found just about every spouse for my lot within a few streets so you may be lucky.

Sorry I can't help you any more tonight. I will check back tomorrow.

I would say though that as you now have the same mother & father at the two addresses from his certs that they definitely are his family.

You're welcome Vivienne.

I had a look on 1901 census online at the address for 1861 but didn't see them, though it may be worth having a good rummage around the area.

re 1861 census
bethnal green enumeration districts
bethnal church ed 11 is missing which would most likely have
robert st
on it, as on 1871 thats where it was.

chrisa

14 Marian Street has an Adams family living there.

14 Marian Sqaure has two familes there the Brownes & the Goodes.

There doesn't appear to be a 14 Marian Place

Ancestry do seem to have that district for 1861 missing Vivienne.

There seem to be quite a few families at 24 Harts Lane
Burrowes
Cook
Ford
Jane
Burkett
Williams
& Fillmore
But I can't find any of these people on Ancestry so I think it is missing.
