Find Ancestors

Hello,

I am trying to find the birth of two children.

In 1871 Census, Thomas 8, and Joseph 6 , Jenks (Jinks ) were living with head of household Margaret Bradshaw. There was a Mary Ann Jenks ( Jinks ), who was Bradshaw , Widow .

I found a marriage for Mary Ann Bradshaw and a Henry Jinks in 1867... then he dies in 1867 as well, which doesn't exactly explain the kids names/ages...... so can anyone find their births at all?

They're listed as sons of Margaret on the 71 census but she's 67 years old. I believe they're sons of her daughter Mary Ann Jenks who's a widow and living with her.
Oh! I think you knew that!

It's more the fact that Mary Ann married supposedly to Henry Jinks in 1867, but kids ages shows they were born before that date.

what location is this?

I cannot find their births though at all

I think they were probably Mary Ann's illegitimate sons and were given her husband's name when she married.

Fair enough that they had the kids out of wedlock, but don't think the births of Bradshaw is them, as ordered a birth cert for Thomas Bradshaw in 1863 and there was a fathers name, and also mothers name wasn't Mary Ann.

In 1881 Census, I found them, Mary Ann had married Robert Cadman and Thomas and Joseph Jenks were with them.
One bizarre thing with the 1881 census was that there is a Harriet Jenks, aged 9..... unless of course she had another child out of wedlock ?

So in 1881 census, they kept her name as Jenks, as born out of wedlock?

Can anyone help with Harriet Jenks as she shows up in 1881 Census..... trying to find her going forwards from there.

She is not Harriet Cadman as earlier thought, as I have found that one in different household.

Harriet Jenks is not in the household in 1891 census.
