Irish civil registration for births started in 1864 but you may find it in the Mormons' http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp

Thanks for advice but can't find any info on the net . My gg/mother Mary Anne Kelly was born at "Rohun Tullamore King's County" on/about 16March possibly 1845 - other dates/years suggest born "Ireland"1842/45. Father Michael Kelly - mother Elizabeth Horan who was probably christened at Rathkeale Limerick on 28Oct 1810 - died "soon after giving birth to Mary Anne" who "was raised by relatives" - Father later remarried and migrated to America. Mary Anne migrated to Australia on "Erin go Bragh" in 1862. As there is no info on the net for Kings/Offaly I hope you nay be able to help. Many thanks

Hi again Ed - I've had a dig around the Mormon site but unfortunately the surnames are so common and I regret I can find nothing that seems to link - I have tried to find some churches in the area but no luck there either - RC churches seem to carry their own records so if a church could be found it may provide some answers

Appreciate your response. Unfortunately no knowledge of RC Church involved other than possibly at "Rohun" - but doubtful if this name is correct or is meant to be "Rahan"..

Great work - the Victorian one is not correct but you scored with no.2 - details of family members check out and date of death is correct.
I would certainly like to follow up on this to see if the author has tried to obtain any overseas info.
Tried the website without success - can you offer any futher guidance on this?
