Looking for information about Albert Edwin LANE bp 4 Oct 1866 Leigh, Dorset In 1901 census, he's M, 34, a grocery manager, with wife Lizzie (nee Kent, formerly a milliner), 34 and children Mabel B, 6, b Manchester, Albert E, 4, b Shermington? Wilts? Dorothy 3, b Oldham living at 72 Trinity Street, Coldhurst, Oldham. Albert was my grandma's second brother. Would love to hear news of what happened to him and his family after 1901. *Have now found out he learnt to be a grocer in Wellingborough, NTH (1891 census). He married Lizzie 1893, saying he was a grocer, but Kelly's, Manchester 1895, has him as a grocer's assistant. But this doesn't help to go forward from the 1901! |
