Member Since: February 2003 Posts: 1 Send Message	my mother eileen lohr was born in carmathen in wales in 1918. her grandfather was an immigrant from a town near wiesbaden in germany in about 1870. her father john or as he was known jack was also born in wales and considered himself a welshman with the traditional interest in the game of rugby. i believe that lohr is a name relating to the trade of tanning(ie leather). interested to hear from any others who feel they may have a common ancestry.
