I had an email from a lass in Australia that said anyone with the surname of Lymn was related to anyone else with the surname. There seems to be a lot of truth with the notts/derbyshire connection as there are hundreds of entries on the parish register. My father's family come from sheffield and my great uncle emigrated to the states in the 1920's so there is a branch of the family over stateside. My dad married and moved to Liverpool so that's where my connection comes in. I now live in Plymouth (UK) and my children's surname has now become simms-lymn so there might well be many others out there. ps. an aunt of my father's traced the family back to scandinavia. How far back this goes I'm not sure. Tried asking my dad but he'd not sure either. |
