Trying to find McDonald

I’m looking for any information regarding my grandmother Annie McDonald (MacDonald). I only know a few fact -- she gave birth to my mother (Muriel) at 11 Couper Place Glasgow on the 05-11-1921 and her father (Annie’s) was a brewery worker. Annie had a son 2 years older than my mother. Annie may have been born in Ireland, (or Glasgow) and probably in the late 1890’s . She later lived in Edinburgh and died there in the early to mid 1950’s. She was also known as Annie Flanagan (or name something like that) My mother and her brother were fostered out up north , if anyone could tell me if there were records for foster children in 1920’s and where I can find them, that information would be so helpful
