Trying to find Mclean

Looking for any information on Donald MCLEAN, believed to have been born in Govan, around 1884/1886, but also possibly in Salford, Lancs. His mother was Agnes MCDONALD, father either John MCLEAN (sailor, merchant service as shown on Donald's marriage certificate) or Donald MCLEAN (marine engineer, as shown on his death certificate). "My" Donald was illegitimate. I have searched the scottish online records for Mclean, Maclean and McDonald, but no luck. Donald married in Govan,1870, Mary Helen Scott (born in Salford 1848), they had 6 children: Mary Charlton Scott (1872-73), Agnes (1875), Donald (1877), Lauchlan (1884), Archibald (1886), James Scott (1888). James married in 1908 Jane King, he died in WW1. Archibald married Jane in 1921. Lauchlan had two daughters and emigrated to Canada, possibly Ontario. Does any of this tie in with someone else's family? I'd be grateful for any help....this little mystery has me stumped! E-mail me at patsy_maclean, then the frisbee sign, and it's mail with hot in front Many thanks!
