My Meadows line. ELIZA MEADOWS c.1835 Shropshire [according to 1881 census,place of birth not confirmed] FLORENCE TERESA MEADOWS b.5th Feb 1867 Cheltenham.Married John BICK 1883 had 10 children MARY A MEADOWS B.1863 Cheltenham. HARRY MEADOWS B.1860 Cheltenham. Married Caroline ?. Son JAMES MEADOWS recieved O.B.E and became Lord Mayor of Birmingham 1967 - 1968. Eliza has given me a headache. My gt gt gran [Florence] named her father on her marriage certificate in 1883 as William Meadows deceased. Yet i believe Eliza may not have ever married a William Meadows. The only census i have found her on is the 1881 when she was living in Birmingham as a lodger of a man named Walker. I do know she later married him and emigrated to usa. Yet a few years later she was married to another Walker. Anyone finds this rings a bell please get in touch. |
