MELDRUM/KIRK/EDWARDS/IRVING MELDRUM WAS MY MAIDEN NAME. MY FATHER WAS JOHN MELDRUM BORN 1911, BONAWE QUARRY, ARDHATTEN, OBAN. HE GREW UP IN THE GORBALS AREA OF GLASGOW. HE WAS ONE OF 8/9 KIDS BUT I ONLY KNOW OF 4. CAN ANYONE HELP. HIS FATHER WAS ALSO JOHN MELDRUM BORN c1873 WHO MARRIED JANE EDWARDS. HIS FATHER WAS ALEXANDER BORN EDINBURGH c1845 MARRIED JESSIE BUTTERS nee KIRK. HIS FATHER WAS WILLIAM MELDRUM c1789 MARRIED TO JANET IRVING THEY SEEM TO HAVE MOSTLY BEEN QUARRY WORKERS AND LIVED DALBEATTIE, KIRKCUDBRIGHT, MID LOTHIAN AND GLASGOW.
