My father Joseph James Miley was born in Whitton Gilbert, Co. Durham. His parents had come to England from Ireland during the troubles. My father had a brother Thomas and a sister Ina who lived in Gateshead. I believe that there were other brothers and sisters but can't remember names. My mother was Mary Ann Miley nee Ball born in Sunderland. She had brothers Robert (Bob) and Joseph (Joe) and a sister Florrie. I don't think that Bob ever married, but Joe was married to Bella and they had a daughter named Margaret Rose. Florrie married Sam Lloyd they had a son Tom. They lived in Faber Road, Marley Potts in Sunderland. Please contact me if you have any news regarding the above. I have two sisters (Sylvia and Jean)and a brother (Joe) all living in Newcastle. |
