Information please on Robert Murrant born c1838 in Alton. Trying to establish if same as my g-grandfather who appears as Morrant on marriage certificate and Morant on 1881 census. He was a gunner in Royal Artillery based in Pembroke where he married Mary Philips and had five children, James, Sarah, Dinah, William and Robert (my grandfather). They lived in Monkton, Pembroke and he died 1898. |
