Thank you Catherine yes that is the one.You dont happen to have any info on the children she had my grandfather was Leonard Ernest Stone Court. But I think his father Ernest Court may have re married after Alice died

There are several marriages for Ernest Court between 1902 and 1932 in Kent, but none in Canterbury!

As far as I know he did.My aunt said that my grandfather was only about 4 when Alice died but my grandfather had some other sisters called Janet and Netta this is what makes me think that his father Ernest re married.Sorry I cant be of any more help

Do you have parentage for her only my maiden name was Court could see if she is already in my tree

Can't seem to find anything that fits in Malling, so there's a good chance that the Thanet record is the correct one. Unfortunately the only way to find out is to buy the cert. to check to fathers name.

However, some Registry Offices will check a record for you, if they are not too busy, and if you have the reference, to see if it is the correct one.
If you send them an e-mail explaining that the record you are looking for would have fathers name as Ernest and giving the reference no. they may just check for you.

They are not allowed to give info that is on a cert. so they would not be able to tell you the name of the mother, for that you would have to buy the cert. But, it's always worth a try, saves time and money if it works.
