Member Since: June 2003 Posts: 2 Send Message	my father was john patterson b1915 his father thomas birkett patterson born 1870 his father gilbert patterson all came from cumbria my grandfather worked as a farmerthen down the pitsin a iron ore mine where he had a acident from which he died in 1922, which left my grandmother to bring up 5 boys they were, gilbert, dennis, john, harold &ronald. my grandfather had 3 sisters they were elizabeth, annie, marther birkett, there was also another one i think her name was sarah but we never knew her.
