Hello, I am new to this and was wondering if anyone could help me with info on my grandfather Thomas 'Percy' Platt born Bolton 1898. My mother knows little of his parentage. His mother was Margaret Ann Platt c 1880 from Bolton. There is no father on his birth certificate. He had 2 younger brothers Jack and James but we are unsure if they were his blood brothers.. I have checked the 1901 census and my grandad who was 2 years old lived at 44 Silverwell Lane Bolton as a boarder with Mary Hughes, Ellen Kershaw, Sarah Darwin, Maria Lowe and George Walker. His mother Margaret lived at 33 Raphael Street Bolton. I do not know if maybe someone at 44 Silverwell Road cared for him or even adopted him, but he retained the surname Platt. My mother remembers one of the brothers truly believed he was Jesus and the mother went to live with the other brother prior to being institutionalised. Any help would be great, Thanks.
