Trying to trace descendants of Alexander Ramsay (born 1856, died 1908) and his wife Elizabeth Alexandra, who emigrated to New Zealand in the late 1800s. The couple had 12 children Kenneth George Alan, Alexander McKinlay, James Wilkie, Isobel, Ella, Janet, Esther, Flora, Marguerita, Frances, Allan and Buonaventura (the last of these named, I believe, in reference to the voyage to New Zealand!) Alexander senior was the son of Alexander Ramsay (marine engineer) and his wife Janet Wilkie, and together with his sister Janet and mother survived a devastating smallpox epidemic that killed their father and younger brothers and sisters (Susannah, Catherine, Ann, Christine, Isabella and James) in Cork, Ireland, in 1871/1872.
