William Rantall emigrated to Oz in 1852.He was born in Thaxted 1832.I have traced back as far as John Rantell..wheelwright of Stoney Lane Thaxted Essex..who married Mary Cowell in 1802.They had 5 children,one being my g.g.grandfather ,Richard. If anyone identifies with all of this or can add more information about John and Mary,please contact me. Norma.
