My great grandfather, Henry Rayner was a younger brother of William Rayner, born Longham 1821.

I believe that in my family that come from Wisbech sometime in 1700's Jones married into a Rayner as a result the Rayner name has been carried down the generations to this present day as a second name my great great grandmother Eliza Jones married a Matthew Moore had a brother Rayner Jones and their parents William Jones and Louisa Handslip c 1793 Emneth, Norfolk England they married in Wisbech St Peter Cambridgeshire on 3/2/1812 I hope you can help me

My Rayners appear to have lived in Hethersett near Norwich in early 1800's but moved to Terrington St.Clement around 1830/40.

They then spread out to Clenchwarton and West Lynn. Does this pattern sound familiar to anyone?

Thomas Rayner is the passed-down name of my grandfather, gt. and gt.gt.grandfathers. William and George are all regularly used names in their families. I'm stuck on Thomas Rayner b.1802 Hethersett.

Would love to hear from anyone with a connection.

I have rayner's in my family, my rayner's are William born in c1846, he married a Elizabeth unknown what her surname is. William was born in bedfordshire, they had two son's Frederick born 1865 and Henry born c1866.
Fredrick married a Edith Everett in 1888, they had a daughter called Charlotte Rayner (my gt grandmother) she was born in Cormer Norfolk.

do u think there is any link?

I also have Rayner in my famiy. Rachel Rayner born
1837 in Chevely Cambridge to William and Elizabeth.
William's name is spelt( Ranner ) on the IGI.

She married Thomas Bott these are my husband's Great Grandparents.

Can anyone help please with Rachel's family.

Has any one have a Annie Rayner in the tree base around the late 1700's I have just found one with a connection with a distant cousin I just found in England
As I said early my Rayner name came down through William Jones and Lucy Hanslip line and beleive it started through the Jones line.
