PLEASE OPEN THIS, EVERYONE!! The KEY is the FLEET AIR ARM and EVAN REES is proving to be a real scarlet pimpernel as I have so little information about him.

He is known to have been a sailor in the Fleet Arm as he was on shore leave in Gloucester in the UK during March / April 1942.

There is no information as to what ship he served on or where it was docked at the time or where it went when he re-joined it.

He would have joined the Fleet Air Arm around about 1940 but there is no record of where and when he was recruited or his age at the time.

Prior to joining up he was working for a builders in Gloucester (UK) but again there is a dearth of information about what firm he was working for.

It is believed that he came from Port Talbot - but whether this was just the place he had moved from when he went to Gloucester, or whether it was his actual birthplace is unknown

I appeal for more information about him from anyone who feels that they have heard of such a person in their family be he still living or deceased.

I ask everyone to question family, friends, and acquaintances about him to see if anyone on earth can tell me even the slightest thing about this Mr. Rees.

I am so desperately keen to be able to pursue further ancestry-tracing back beyond this very frustrating barrier.

I will be eternally grateful to anyone who can provide me with this cruicial key to unlocking my past.

Thank you, world!!
