I am trying to trace any relatives of my great grandmother Jane Matilda Rice born 4th Jan. 1849 and died 1939. She was one of a family of 9 and lived in Whitechapel, London. Her father was a Devonshire cabinet maker and her mother a cockney. She attended church at the Iron Room at Clapton and met there her husband Mr. John Robert Taylor, married in 1874 and moved to Yorkshire. They had three sons, Jesse, Robert and John Morley and three daughters Gertrude Edith and Ruth. My grandfather was Robert who married Mary Bramham from Altofts, Wakefield. Any information about Jane Matilda Rice would be very helpful. |
