Member Since: January 2003 Posts: 34 Send Message	I am trying to trace any members of the ROMAINE family from the Brighton or Gosport areas. My great gandfather was CHARLES ROMAINE born 1842 in Brighton, his wife was JANE PEARSON. They had four daughters CAROLINE ROMAINE 1863, HARRIET ROMAINE 1866, ELIZA ROMAINE 1870, EDITH ROMAINE 1872 and a son WILLIE ROMAINE 1867. CHARLES ROMAINE'S father JOHN ROMAINE was born 1815 in Gosport, he was married first to CAROLINE BOXALL than to MARY LEWSLEY. John's father was also a JOHN ROMAINE born in Alverstoke Hampshire in 1793 married to MARY PAFFORD.
