Hello my name is Sarah Clarke (nee Ronksley). I was born and brought up in Womersley, North Yorkshire. My father is David Ronksley, his father was Harry Ronksley (1905-1981), one of seven siblings, and his father was George Harry Ronksley married to Bertha Charlesworth. I'm looking to add to the family tree upwards but also outwards. It would be interesting to hear from any living Ronksley relatives. I know most now live in the Sheffield area. Did you know that Ronksley is a South Yorkshire surname originally derived from a farm now drowned by the Derwent reservoir? So says an article in "Yorkshire on Sunday." |
