I am looking for information about my great grandmother Jane Douglas Ross born 1861,Poplar who was married to David Killock in 1891 in West Ham.They had 4 children,Dorothy Douglas b7.11.1894,William Thomas [my grandfather ]b16.2.1898,George Frederick b10.12.1900 and Edith Blanche, all born West Ham,London Jane's parents were Robert Chamber's Ross{Master mariner b. Greenwich 1812 d. Penge 1893} and Elizabeth Downton . I've discovered quite a lot about her but the only info I have on him is that his father was Thomas Ross , pilot, and his mother was a Catherine Roberts. And that he had at least 3 siblings, Catherine b.1810, Thomas Paul b 1808 and Alfred b 1815. He also had another daughter, apart from Jane , Elizabeth b. c 1863. Any Ross/ Killocks or Ross/ Downtons or descendants out there? R.C. Ross was a widower when he married Elizabeth Downton in 1858 so there must also have been a first wife and probably descendants from that marriage? |
