I am looking for my Grandmother's family. She was born 18/05/1917, Pearl North Rowson. The birth is registered in Ecclesall. Her mother's maiden name was Maud North (from Grantham). She mistakenly believed her husband (Percy Rowson from Nottingham) to have been killed in WW1. She became pregnant by another man (for whom I have no details). Percy returned and the baby was given in to the care of her mother (surname North). Eventually Pearl was adopted by a family (Smith) in Nottingham.
Maud had a sister called Nellie (married name Wood) who had 2 daughters, Jean & Mary.I f you can connect the names North & Rowson I'd love to hear from you. Kind regards, Jo.
