kirsty, I am chuffed for you....really my heart is smiling for you. Wishing you good luck and much happiness. With this I must add a word of caution...dont expect it all to be all roses..from experience I know its sometimes very thorny...but ride with it and it will level out and the family will melt together again.

Heya guys,

Just thought I would let you all know I did meet Roxanne yesterday!!! We first met for Coffee and had a long chat with Roxanne, her boyfriend and my 4yr old niece! Then we went out for a meal and then we went back to her house!! It was an amazing day with lots of laughing and alot of family talks! lol
Roxanne and my dad have been e-mailing each other but Roxanne is going to wait for her mum to come back off holiday before she agrees to meet Dad face to face.
Hpefully though things are going really well so my family could soon be complete!!

Thanks again for everyones help in finding all the information that I needed to find her and get it to this point.

Luv Kirsty xx

Hope everything goes well for you Kirsty my mum met her brother for the first time in 76 years two weeks ago, up until the start of the year we knew nothing of his existance as they were both given up for private adoption in 1920/30s. We were all so excited and I now have an"real" uncle and cousins.

Hey Kirsty

good luck I traced my long lost sisters throught this site. My dad also refused to give any info but when I told him I found them he was over the moon, one sister does not want contact the other flew over from Canada to see us and met her dad for the first time in over 30 years just before he died. not every meeting or contact turns into a bed of roses please dont think you failed if your contact does not turn out the way you hope, you have found her that is the first step keeping my fingers crossed for you

Go to this address....I think that it names Donna in a newspaper report

As your sister was on the television have you thought to write to her via them? and ask them to pass the letter on? Maybe address it to the presenter of the show ?
might be a long shot but I would have thought worth a try. Good luck.

Kirsty

Have you thought about contacting a newspaper down in Taunton. If Donna was on the TV chances are a local newspaper would have covered her story

I have already tried with Roxanne Jones but my dad split from Donna before Roxanne was born so i wouldnt have thought she would give her his name. i have tried on countless times to talk to my dad but he says he knows nothing. Its been 7 years now and i don't know what i can do next!!

Grumpy Report 15 Feb 2009 14:16

there are a lot of roxanne jones about and without mothers maiden name it would be difficult to find any information, the best option difficult as it may be is your dad
