SCANNELL'S FROM IRELAND I am trying to locate other family members of the Scannell clan originally from Tralee county Kerry in Eire, who may have moved from there to the main land, or still be living over there. Namely: Jeremiah(Jer) Scannell, who had two sisters named Mary ellen, Hannah, who migrated to America around the 20s/30s, and a brother named Micheal Joseph (my grandfather) who moved over to England in 1953 approx. Their father was Dennis Scannell, (known as Dinny or Old, owd Dinny) mother name Kit shannahan. I believe from family in Ireland that there is definately connections in England. Other names I have are Jeremiahs children, Jerome, John, Michael, Teresa, (Terry), patricia (pat) and I think Kit, but not sure about this last one. Any information on any of these names or their decendants would be greatly appreciated. Other connected names are Fitzgerald, McCarthy, Lynch (Hannahs' husband), Shanahans and O'Sullivan |
