Find Ancestors

Hello
Have just recently found that my great aunt married a german man called Herman Schnetzler, born in Germany abt 1850.
Just wondered if anyone had come across this name or knew where i might find german records?

Cath - I can tell you I lived in Clara's basement! I recently checked the 1911 census for info on 305 Fulwood Rd, where I lived in the basement flat as a student in the early '80s, and have discovered Clara was there at least between 1901 and 1919. She was a widow in 1901, Herman was still alive (at another Sheffield address) in 1893. Can't find his death indexed in the BMD. All I know is summarised on the attached - sorry it's a bit scrappy, it was for my ex-flatmate. Hope there's something of interest. Regards, Patrick
