Andrew, how do you imagine that someone would find the identity of a person's grandparents without knowing who the person's parent(s) was/were?? Telepathy?

Someone's grandparents are that person's parent's parents. Without knowing who the interim generation was, we have that old missing link.

I asked for more information conditional on you confirming you had consent, obviously: that was why I said "but". And assuming that it would be evident that nobody could find anybody's grandparents without knowing who the heck her parents were.
