I am trying to trace descendants of the Stanger family who lived in the Haltwistle area of Northumberland in the nineteenth century. I am especially looking for descendants of William Stanger b. 1851 Haltwistle, who married Jane Hedley (b.c.1856, Bellingham, Northumberland). They had ten children: Mary Jane (b.c.1875); Thomas (my great grandfather) b. 1880; Ralph b.c.1882; Hannah b. 1883, married Charles Rennie; Elizabeth Jane b&d 1885; May, b. 1888; Jessie Ann, b.1891, married Ralph Kellett; twins William & Gladys, b&d 1894 and John James b. 1895. They are listed as living near CARLISLE in 1901.
