Looking for info on Jim Stead my Grandfather. Originally from the Newcastle Upon Tyne area and Jarrow marcher. He married my Grandmother Florence Harriet Johnson from Shirebrook in Derbyshire. Moved to Kent coalfields for work and lived in Dover. They had four children, Mollie, Barbara, Georgina and Pauline ( my mother). They split up soon after my mother's birth...approx 1946/7 and we have no info after that. He may have moved back North. Any info at all would be appreciated. P.S. I believe he was an excellent boxer...don't know if that's relevant... I have access to a photo. Cheers. Damion Napier. |
