I am trying to find my husband's eldest brother who was adopted in the 1950's. Records show that he was born in London - perhaps at the Whittington Hospital in Holloway? -and adopted by a couple in the Bradford-on -Avon, Wiltshire area. His name was PATRICK THORNTON (d.o.b. 20/12/56). His mother was Margaret Thornton - originally from the Sunderland area. His father was Patrick O'Douahue and was much older than Margaret. Margaret had 3 other sons by the same father. One was in foster care and later adopted PAUL -his surname probably changed to LORD and he lived/lives in Ilford (off Woodford Avenue?)and the other 2 were brought up in various Homes.Margart is no longer alive. My husband's name is Anthony. If you have any information, please contact me! Thanks. |
