Find Ancestors

I have a death certificate for a Thomas Little, died July 17, 1903 at 80 Peel Street, South Shields, Durham. He was age 35. The informant on the death certificate listed his sister-in-law, M. Mathieson, who resided at 21 Peel Street, South Shields.

My question is--are there any records that I can find that may help me to identify who is sister-in-law is? I can't find anything that resembles either of them in 1901 for Durham. I don't know if that is her maiden or married name.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I reside in the States and not sure exactly what records are available that may help to identify her.

But the Noble children are listed as sister and brother, can't be siblings of Robert so Mary A. must have been a Noble.

Free BMD:
Robert Mathieson married Mary Ann H. Noble. Jun. Q 1894. S. Shields.

So, we're back to square one.
How did Mary Ann Mathieson/Matherson nee Noble become the sister-in-law of Thomas Little?

Thank you everyone--this is confusing. Because on Thomas Little's death certificate, it states that M. Mathieson was his sister-in-law. Perhaps it was a mistake and it should have been sister.

It doesn't make any sense because if M. Mathieson was Thomas' sister-in-law, that would mean that either M. Mathieson is either his wife's sister or brother's wife. And none of this matches.

A possible Noble marriage record.

I checked the 1891 census for Lilly and Nathaniel. Mary A. Noble is their sister. So how does Thomas and M. Mathieson connect as in-laws????
