Sorry, Sue, I just don't think there's much more to say!

You're looking for someone with a not uncommon name (William Fitzpatrick) born in Ireland before 1800 and very probably died in Ireland. There just quite simply appears to be nothing available on line that is going to provide the info you want, and nobody here at GR who has access to anywhere it could be found.

The only thing I can think of is to retain a genealogist who has access to original records in Co. Wicklow and can search for the William Fitzpatrick + Honora Fleming marriage, the baptism of Daniel and any other children, and the births of William & Honora. The info just is not going to be found by posting questions at a discussion board populated by amateurs, almost none of whom have any knowledge of Irish records, let alone access to records before and just after 1800!

Ah - so it is most likely that Daniel travelled to Australia alone? No evidence of any siblings of his there, I guess.

i know that william had to be born before his son.
that is why i thought it could be the william that i discribed in the later mail with a mistake in the birth.

Australian death certificates sometimes contain weird and wonderful things. Perhaps that's where you have his birth info from, of course.

Since you know that your William emigrated to Australia, how likely is it that he would be a William who died in Ireland?

Especially one whose DOB is later than his son's?

Your William had a son born 1806. He must have been born before 1790 himself. Living to 1884 would have been quite a feat at the time!

Have you bought ANY of the certificates that I have given you the registration details for ???

You need to buy certificates to know if we are following the correct family line. There is no point in me hunting up info. if I do not know, 100%, that the people that I am looking for are from your family.

Australia death certificate should also list all the children so are well worth getting.

I have now given you information on every daughter of Francis & Maria Fitzpatrick ... BUT ... You are going to have to buy some certificates to confirm that this info is about the correct people.

If you think that the info on Bridget BEST is your Bridget, then buy her death certificate.
It should list all her children.

If you do decide to get the certificate,
I have heard that it is cheaper to get a transcript through joy murrin (google her ).
However I do not know what info she can get for you, but you could ask.

You would have to buy the marriage certificate to know for sure if the bride is a member of the family you are searching for. The certificate should have her fathers name on it, for confirmation.
