Find Ancestors

I have just come across some notes back from July last year and the penny has only now just dropped,
My great grandfather Leonard John Hatcher was born 1881 in Brentford 3a 97, his first marriage was to either Amy Zillah Brown or Mable Mary Roberts 1903 Brentford vol 3a 144.
Now my notes have listed a birth for Hatcher George J L Brown Brentford 3a 370 Dec 1915 and also a death for Amy Hatcher age 55 Epsom 2a 91 Jun 1918.
So my theory is Leonard married Amy Zillah Brown and had a child George J L Hatcher which would match all my other Hatcher as they are all J L hatchers or L J Hatchers and rounds all the way down the line.
My request is to see if George J L Hatcher is still alive as this would be my nan's half brother if he is he would be 93 years of age now.
Please could someone check to see if there is a death cert for him this way i would know.

George James L Hatcher died Oct 1994 aged 78 Barnstaple Devon. Born 17 Nov 1915.

Well it seems to match the birth year and name so no reason why it should'nt be him, what a shame is there any way of finding out if he ever married or had children.

The informant on the death cert could be a relative

Have you looked for Morgan/Roberts children in Brentford, that will help confirm the marriage of Hatcher to Brown if you don't want to get the certificate.

Had a quick look but none in the right area.

I would have thought there would be other siblings between their marriage in 1903 and George in 1915

Have you entered George's name in the 'quick search' box at the top of the page to see if anyone else has him in their tree?

It is possible as Amy Hatcher (nee Brown) did'nt pass away until 1918 June.
