Do you have their marriage certificate, as it should give you their fathers names which would help to find them on the census records.

relatives, of Walter Frederick Whiting c1881 who married Edith Lucy Baker, they emigrated to Australia in 1927 along with their children John Miller 1912, Lilian 1914, Lucy 1920,Edith 1917, Thomas 1908, Walter Robert 1910 the childrens births are registered in Poole and Salisbury. We know that John Miller was born in Branksome Dorset and the birth reg in Poole. Walter married in 1905 Christchurch, Hampshire. My husband is John Richard Whiting born 1943 Sydney Australia eldest son of John Miller Whiting.
