I find the best way to find different spellings of surnames or forenames is to go to the top of the page to "search trees" and type in the name you want, when it comes up look at the left hand side of the page and you will see Top Tips and surname/forename variants. |

Could the L be mistranscribed as a C? dont forget would have been the 'old fashioned' way of doing an L, cant replicate it here but can look like a C! |
