The only way you will find out if it is your Mary Carden in Liverpool, is to send for her marriage certificate, which would show her fathers name.

Unfortunately I don't know if he survived or died in battle. If you look on the Freebmd site there are quite a few John Cardens marriages...but without knowing where or who he married it would be difficult.

i found a mary carden born the same year in the 1901 census and she is livin in liverpool and is married is there a chance that when francis and caroline moved to liverpool where they had john mary stayed and got married.

do you no if he survived and married or got killed in battle.

John was in The Royal Sussex Regiment.

i no arthur went on to marry an alice gill and they had a son my grandad who had 2 boys my dad and uncle, but we don't no what happened to francis or john.

This is the only Arthur that I can find....unfortunately I cannot find Francis junior on the 1901
